National 7s Coach Ben Ryan said he has capable players that can play in key positions in the Fiji team.
Ryan said the departure of Westfield playmaker Waisea Nacuqu hasn’t left a vacuum in the team as he has other players who can fill the halfback and playmaker roles.
Ryan added that he will be looking at selecting a mix of players that can cover others and those that will match the game plan he is drawing up for Las Vegas this year.
Meanwhile, Ryan will name his 12 member team this Thursday and Fiji is in pool B with New Zealand, Australia and Scotland.
The USA 7s kicks off next Saturday.
Fiji takes on Scotland at 1.06pm next Saturday in its first pool match.
