The Hurricanes believe a win‑less Blues side will be their biggest challenge of the season to date in the Super Rugby.

The Blues have already suffered their worst ever start in Super Rugby history and calls are being made for coach Sir John Kirwan to step down after failing to finish higher than 10th in his first two years in charge.

But that pressure is only going to accelerate an inevitable turnaround, according to Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd.

Boyd said the Blues are not going to be winless for much longer, their game will come right at some stage because they have such quality individuals.

He said there's a number of guys in that side that can burn you if you get it wrong.

Hurricanes captain, Conrad Smith is empathising with the Blues whose situation is almost identical to the one he and his troops faced last year.

Meanwhile the Hurricanes will take on the Blues at 6.35pm while Western Force will face the Rebels at 11 tonight.
