Vodafone Fiji 7s captain Osea Kolinisau believes that they are their own biggest threat in this weekend’s Scotland 7s.
Kolinisau says they have learnt a lot after losing to South Africa in the Japan 7s semifinals.
Fiji had two scrimmaging sessions yesterday with Canada and Kenya.
Fiji will have to win the Scotland 7s and finish ahead of South Africa in the England 7s next weekend if they are to claim the series title.
Coach Ben Ryan says this would be a perfect situation for Fiji and he hopes NZ or Samoa step up in South Africa’s pool to put them in a place where Fiji can meet them in the quarters.
Fiji will face Wales at 11.42pm tomorrow in the Scotland 7s.
They take on Portugal at 2.48am Sunday before playing Scotland at 6.21am.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 10.28pm Sunday, the Cup semifinals will be at 1.58am next Monday while the Cup final will be held at 5.20am Monday.
