The Government is optimistic that we can build a better Fiji if we change our minds and attitudes and respect other ethnic groups that call Fiji home.

These were the words of the Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, National Security and Immigration Ratu Epeli Ganilau while launching the Fiji Day Celebrations 2009 at the Government house this morning.

Ratu Epeli said this years Fiji Day theme "Educating Fiji towards Change, Peace and Progress" is aimed at encouraging respect of other races and culture from a young age.
