The GCC Taskforce is hoping that the chiefs from the 14 provincial councils will hand in the names of the three chiefs who will represent them in the new Great Council of Chiefs.
Chairman of the GCC Taskforce Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo is adamant that the chiefs have to put forward the names now as the next GCC meeting will be held in the first week of August.
Meanwhile, the province of Macuata has already given their nominations while the Bose Vanua of Tailevu maintained the former GCC members from Tailevu be re-instated including Ratu Epenisa Cakobau, Ratu Timoci Vesikula and Ratu Semi Seruvakula.
Chairman of the Ba provincial council Ratu Ovini Bokini confirmed that the three names from the Ba province be maintained including him, Ratu Meli Saukuru and Ratu Jone Naeqe.
