These are the words of Immigration Director, Commander Viliame Naupoto on the Immigration Department and Interim Government being criticized for deporting a publisher of a media organisation.
Naupoto explained that the Immigration Department carried out directives.
Naupoto said once a person is declared a prohibited immigrant, it is enough to cancel his or her permit.
Naupoto said Hannah was declared a prohibited immigrant as his actions were prejudicial to Section 13 (2) b of the Immigration Act and thus he was deported.
Hannah was removed from his home in Tamavua on Thursday night, taken to Nadi and flown out of the country on the 9.35 Air Korea flight to Korea and then on to Sydney.
