Our most immediate goal now is to rebuild our country and put it back on its feet again economically, socially and politically.

These are the words of the Interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama, who is currently in Vanuatu attending the Melanesian Spear Head Group Meeting, who said Fiji is facing an extremely critical moment in its young life as an independent and sovereign nation and we have had to endure numerous challenges to be where we are today.

Bainimarama said most of the challenges would have made many nations crumble into the brink of chaos and disarray.

He added while we are in the midst of the re-building process, he urges all who have Fiji at heart to seriously consider what can be done as a nation to move Fiji forward in a manner that would reflect some aspects of Ratu Sukuna's visions.

Bainimarama has appealed for the people of Fiji to come forward and join hands in efforts to make Fiji a truly, considerate, united, peaceful and prosperous country.,
