We agree with the EU Delegation's view that elections can be held next year.
Former Prime Minister and SDL Leader, Laisenia Qarase said there is no doubt that elections can be held next year adding that the EU delegation's conclusion that the Interim Government is not working towards elections is right on the mark.
On the EU funding for the Sugar Industry remaining on hold, Qarase said the only solution by far to help save the industry is for elections to be held so that the money can be released for the people who are dependent on the industry.
