Nagalu said water trucks have been sent out to the affected areas, as they are trying to normalize supply.

Meanwhile, for those experiencing water disruptions in the Davuilevu area, Nagalu said they have had to cut supply to these areas during non peak hours to fill the Wainibuku reservoir.

Nagalu said the Wainibuku reservoir caters for majority of the Suva-Nausori corridor and the only time suitable to cut off supply is during the night, so residents can have supply in the morning.

The Chief Water engineer Sereicokocoko Yanuyanurua is expected to comment further on the problem being faced.

We can confirm that most of the nights water supply is cut off at about 6:30 or 7pm which is a peak demand period.
