The Water Authority has clarified that water supply will be gradually restored this evening in the affected Suva areas.
Spokesperson Michelle Tevita Singh said the disruptions had occurred due to a burst main at the Savura pumping station which the authority had been working on since Friday.
Areas affected include Tamavua, Wailoku, Samabula, Delainavesi, Lami and some areas in Veisari.
She said they have completed works this morning and have opened the pipeline to restore water supplies to the affected areas.
However, Singh said the system needed time to recover and the supply will be gradually restored this evening.
