Close to three weeks has passed since Tropical Cyclone Mick affected Fiji, majority of the areas in Viti Levu have had their water supply restored.

Water Supply Department spokesperson Maika Nagalu said that their water restoration was all on hold waiting for the Fiji Electricity Authority (FEA) to restore power to affected areas.

Meanwhile, PWD engineers have managed to repair the main water pipeline that services residents in the Rewa Delta with Nagalu adding that water trucks are on stand-by as people staying the upper Delta are slowly receiving water.

Looking at Ba, Nagalu confirmed that the FEA has restored power to their two main boreholes in Navoli and Varavu which services close to 150 families in the area.

However, an electrical fault in one of the PWD pumps in Varavu currently sees 7 families left without any water.
