A burst main is causing water disruptions in parts of Suva.

Water Authority of Fiji spokesperson, Maika Nagalu said a burst main occurred along Milverton road near the Catholic Church this morning.

He added residents of Milverton Road, Raiwaqa, Nailuva Road, Nararo Street off Nailuva Road and Jittu Estate don't have water supply.

Nagalu said water engineers are fixing the burst main and water supply is expected to normalise by this evening.

Meanwhile, there have been a number of burst water mains around the country in the past few days causing water disruptions.

Nagalu said the main pipes around the country are more than 30 years old and works are underway to change these pipes which will take time.
