The Water Authority of Fiji has advised residents living in Suva to start storing water now if you still have water in your taps as water disruptions are expected today.
Spokesperson, Maika Nagalu said due to power blackout at their Savura pumping station from yesterday, all the three pumps are down.
He said most of the areas receiving supply from Savura, like Tamavua,Namadi Heights, Ragg Avenue, all areas along Princess road, Mead road, Bay View Heights, Nabua Road, Samabula North areas, Nauluvatu, Wailoku, Delainavesi, Lami, Veisari, up to Togalevu are likely to be affected.
The FEA is trying to find the cause of power blackout and Nagalu said it will take some time to fill the reservoir, after power supply normalises later today.
