The Water Authority of Fiji has confirmed that residents between Suva to Nausori corridor who are facing water disruptions are expected to start receiving normal water supply from 6pm today.

Water Authority of Fiji spokesperson Maika Nagalu said due to an operational problem, they are experiencing low water levels at the Wainibuku reservoir while one of their pumps in Waimanu has developed mechanical problems.

He said as a result people living in Davuilevu Housing, Nakasi, Narere, Tovata, Tuirara, Upper Makoi, Qaranivalu Road, Kalabu Village, Khalsa  Road, Tacirua East, Upper Caubati, Cunnigham, Dokanaisuva, Sakoca, Tacirua Heights, Newtown, Sambula, Wailoku, Delainavesi, Upper Lami, Veisari and Togalevu are expected to face disruptions.

Nagalu said their engineers are working on the problem and water supply is expected to normalize by this evening.

He also said water tanks have been put in Delainavesi, Lami and Veisari for residents living in the surrounding areas.
