Water cuts are occurring more frequently with residents in affected areas concerned about this problem especially now during the school holidays.
Experiencing water cuts since last week, Delainavesi resident and student Jennifer Fonorito, said she hopes those in charge of the water supply can fix the problem once and for all as water cuts are occurring quite often.
Lami resident Coletta Tikaram said there should be some warning for residents so they can start filling buckets beforehand and not be caught unaware.
Water Supply Department spokesperson Maika Nagalu said residents in affected areas should understand that it takes some time for them to recover from the problems faced last week, low water levels at the reservoirs as well as the bursting of a 20 year old pipe.
Nagalu said it should take a couple of days for the system to normalize.
