The Water Authority of Fiji said that Residents living in high areas in Tamavua, Wailoku, Samabula, Delainavesi, Lami, Veisari and up to Togalevu will be experiencing water cuts throughout the day and they are to store water if there is still water supply in their taps.
Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said the water cuts is due to upgrading works at the Tamavua treatment plant.
Nagalu said that there will be water trucks carting water to the affected areas and supply should normalize by 7pm.
Nagalu advised that it will be wise for residents living along the Suva/Nausori corridor to store water at all times as there are ongoing upgrading works at the two major water treatment plants of Tamavua and Waila that is expected to be completed early next year.
