Low water level at the Tamavua reservoir is causing water cuts in the greater Suva area this morning.

Officials on duty at the Suva Water Supply have confirmed that broken pumps at the Waimanu Treatment Plant has caused the low water level at Tamavua, and there is insufficient rain to ease the problem.

Residents living along Princess road, Tacirua, Delainavesi, Samabula and Veisari are affected by the water cuts.

Officials are unaware when the pumps will be fixed at the Waimanu station.

Residents are assured that trucks will be carting water today.
