Water woes may continue in the greater Suva areas for sometime as water Engineers say the Waimanu treatment plant has gone old.
Water Engineer Central/Eastern Samuela Tubui has confirmed that the pumps installed at the Waimanu treatment plant is ten years old which is why water disruptions in the greater Suva areas have been continuing.
Tubui also highlighted that the demand for the pump to deliver water has increased.
According to Tubui the two pumps at the Waimanu treatment plant can deliver 35 to 45 megaliters of water a day while the demand has now exceeded the supply, with demand up to 60 megaliters a day.
