Four water trucks are currently out carting water to areas in Lami, Delainavesi, Wailoku and in Tamavua as their engineers are finishing off their flushing process.

The Water Supply Department has revealed that by late this afternoon, water is expected to be back in pipes as water pumping levels have stabilised and their seven member team are nearly finished with opening fire hydrants to let air out.

According to Spokesman, Maika Nagalu, if this not done then water could be blocked by these pockets of air and may lead to further cuts.

Residents living in high areas of Lami, Tamavua-i-wai, Tamavua and Wailoku can expect water supply by late this afternoon.

The Water Supply department had revealed that due to a mechanical breakdown at their pumping station in Waimanu, water supply was disrupted on Monday night.
