The Water Supply Department has now started processing applications for new water meters.
Divisional Water Engineer Central/Eastern, Sereicocoko Yanuyanurua confirmed that over 1000 applications were pending from last year as they did not have water meters.
Concerns were raised after the department decided to stop receiving new applications for new installations.
