The PWD officials are filling up the Tamavua reservoir before water supply is restored in the greater Suva area later tonight, as many residents continue to face water cuts due to low water levels at the reservoir.
Divisional Water Engineer Eastern Samuela Tubui confirms they have managed to fix the broken pumps at the Waimanu Treatment Plant which caused the low water level at Tamavua. He said that water supply is expected to normalise by tonight.
He added that in the meantime ten water trucks will be carting water to the affected areas.
Residents living along Princess road, Tacirua, Delainavesi, Samabula and Veisari have no water supply since last night.
