Three employees of Water Supply Labasa charged with extortion of office by a public servant, appeared in the Labasa Magistrates court this morning.
Shiu Kumar Naidu, Veer Singh and Mahabir Singh were charged over the weekend and were produced in court today.
Naidu has been charged with 11 counts of extortion of office by a public servant, Veer Singh has been charged with three counts while Mahabir Singh has been charged with five counts.
They all pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Peni Lomaloma and were released on strict bail conditions.
Shiu Kumar Naidu has been ordered to surrender his entire travel document before the closing of business today.
The case has been adjourned till 1st of October for mention.
