After more than 5 years of water disruptions and water cuts to more than 64 villages and settlement in Tailevu and Rewa Delta, the problem has been fixed by the Rewa Water Supply after the successful operation called Operation Gune Kece.
The project was specifically designed for the Rewa Water Supply system and in the process of the operation 64 villages were visited and consulted and a report was compiled to see how most were getting their water. This saw the installation of new water pipes in and around several villages to ease the water problems.
Divisional water engineer Serecokocoko Yanuyanurua said during consultation stage, villagers were told about the term and conditions and one such condition is to settle all outstanding bills.
