Residents facing water cuts in the greater Suva area will continue to face this problem for the next few days even though water levels at the Savura Reservoir slowly improves.
Divisional Water Engineer Central/Eastern, Samuela Tubui said the pumps at the Waimanu Station are working well and the only problem is that the water level is not up to par for normal water supply.
He added that he cannot assure by when water supply will be restored.
He said water trucks will be carting water to the affected areas.
Residents of Princess Road, Tacirua, Delainavesi, Samabula and Veisari have not been receiving normal water supply for last few days.
However, the Wailoku residents are calling on the Public Works Department to provide them with honest answers in regards to the water cuts that they are facing.
Wailoku resident, only known as Sarita, spoke to Village News saying that the situation has gone from bad to worse in their area that when they call to enquire about the water cuts they encounter, they're given no answers.
