It could be a dry New Year for residents in the greater Suva area as there are water cuts currently being experienced.

Works Ministry Spokersperon Sainiana Waqainabete confirmed that engineers are working on some leaking pipes in Khalsa road which is affecting supply to parts of Suva and Nasinu.

She said they hope the engineers can complete their work and water would be restored by later this afternoon.
