The Water Bottling Industry is now keeping its fingers crossed for a positive response from the Finance Ministry regarding their concerns over the newly imposed 20 cents per litre export and excise duty on bottled water.
Spokesperson for the ten companies Jay Dayal, confirmed that all the companies had made their submissions by the given deadline of 4pm yesterday and have made their stance clear.
The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority Chief Executive Officer Jitoko Tikolevu confirmed earlier that they will scrutinize the submissions from the ten water bottling companies over the weekend before it is forwarded to the Finance Ministry for a decision.
