The Water Authority of Fiji is working on digging some boreholes near some reservoirs to solve the water problems for residents near the reservoir during dry season.
Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said they are working with relevant authorities to identify some suitable places to dig the boreholes.
Nagalu made this comment when he was asked why residents near reservoirs face water disruptions.
Residents from Wailoku and Tawatawa in Lautoka told Fijivillage that they live just a few meters away from the reservoir yet they still face water cuts.
Nagalu said water engineers are expected to visit Wailoku soon to identify the problem as they haven't received any complaints from the residents yet.
