The Water Authority of Fiji is hopeful that there will be more rainfall in the country for the next few days so that water levels at the reservoirs improve.

Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said occasional heavy rainfall in the Central/Eastern in the last few days has improved their reservoir levels, however this is not enough.

He said the water sources need more rainfall so that consumers are provided with normal water supply.

Meanwhile, residents in Sakoca Tamavua are concerned as they have had water disruptions for the past few days.

Nagalu said the Water Authority will comment on this matter later today.
