The Water Authority of Fiji has cleared the air about people with septic tanks charged for sewerage lines.
This follows concerns raised by some residents that their water bills have increased drastically and they can notice a sewerage charge on the bill.
They are claiming that they do not use the sewerage line.
The Authority's General Manager Customer Services, Opetaia Ravai said some people have visited the Authority claiming that they do not use the sewerage line and have septic tanks.
Ravai said the Authority does its verification and people found using septic tanks are not charged for sewerage lines.
