The Water Authority is calling for understanding this weekend, as the return of water supply to areas affected by the planned water shutdown will receive water at different times.
The General Manager Operations, Taito Delana said that upgrading work on the Waila Treatment plant will start at 7am Saturday and works are scheduled for up to 10 hours.
However he said after the work is completed, a further 24 hours will be required to replenish the reservoirs before people can start receving normal water supply.
Meanwhile, 8 trucks will provide water in affected areas while 40 tanks will be placed in many areas including hospitals, churches and main intersections accessible to all however he said people should store water to avoid problems.
