Warriors win Marist 7s
In the Cup final at the TFL National Stadium, the Fiji Warriors defeated the Lomaiviti side by 40 points to 14.
Veteran Marika Vunibaka scored the opening try of the match but it seemed fitness was the main factor for the veteran players in the side and they were no match for Fiji Warriors side.
The Fiji Warriors scored three tries in the first half to lead by 21-7, although Lomaiviti played most of the first spell with six players after Waisale Suka was sin-binned.
The Fiji Warriors started the second half well with tries from Jerry Burotu and Semisi Naevo while Peni Rokodiva converted five of the six tries.
Final score the Fiji Warriors 40 - Lomaiviti 14. The Fiji Warriors also walked away with the first prize of $10,000.
