The Ifereimi Tawake coached Fiji Warriors side were thrashed by a more experienced NSW Waratahs side by 60 points to nil in front of a crowd of over 7,000 at Newcastle last night.

The Waratahs ran in 10 tries while the Fiji Warriors were scoreless.

Namatakula lad and Waratahs winger Lote Tuqiri scored a try for the Waratahs alongside Timana Tahu, Tom Carter, Ben Mowen, Peter Playford, Kurtley Beale, Daniel Halangahu, while Lachie Turner scored two tries.

Waratahs Coach Chris Hickey said the 60-0 whitewash still served as a chance for his rep players to get some game time and for him to access the squad two weeks from the start of the Super 14.

The Fiji Warriors performed a traditional cibi war dance prior to the match.
