English rugby league club Warrington Wolves is after Vodafone Fiji Bati forward Ashton Sims for next season.

The Wolves are on the lookout for a front-rower and have targeted Sims, who comes off contract at the end of the season.

The Cowboys rate Sims with a couple of State of Origin props in James Tamou and Matt Scott on their books and are likely to be able to make a competitive offer to Sims.

Younger brother Tariq is also likely to quit the Cowboys, and wants to return to a Sydney club on compassionate grounds.

Meanwhile, Ashton and Tariq Sims Cowboys face Sisa Waqa’s Melbourne Storm at 9.30pm, Saturday.
