The Josateki Savou coached Wardens 1 side were $15,000 dollars richer yesterday after they defeated a very strong Army side, in the finals of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s by 14-12.

The match was a final that was full of yellow cards given to both teams, but the majority of yellow cards went to the Army players.

Speaking to our sister station Viti FM after the finals, Army Coach Nemani Matirewa said their major downfall was indiscipline in the side, as five of his players were sent to the bin by referee, James Bolabiu.

Wardens tries came from the experience and speed of national 7s veteran Setefano Cakau and the other from Lepani Botei.

In other results, in the Plate final, Red Rock beat Ratu Filise 24-15, in the Shield final, PWD Bure beat Warwick 19-17, in the Bowl final, Waimanu beat Police Lautoka 24-5.

In Other finals: in the Under 19, FSC Eagles from Ba beat Nawaka 14-12, Oldies final, Namosi beat Waimanu 12-10, in the

Indo-Fijian, Highlanders beat Waibula Sharks 19-15, and QVS Blues edged Sea Hawks in the Womens final 14-12.

An Extended 19 member squad was also announced after yesterday's finals to prepare for the next IRB series leg for Adelaide and Hong Kong:-

The Backs include: Emosi Vucago, Nuimaia Cakacaka, Jiuta Lutumailagi, Osea Kolinisau, Nasoni Roko, Waisale Beci, Joeli Lutumailagi, Josefata Bole, Ilai Tinai, Rendell Kamea.

This squad will be further reduced to 12 before the Adelaide and Hong Kong 7s on March 20.
