The Wardens 7s team will not set their sights on this year’s Fiji Bitter Marist 7s title but they will try to improve from where they left off last season.

Wardens lost to Westfield Barbarians in last year’s final but manager Kaliopasa Bogiva said the side will take a cautious approach knowing the caliber of other teams taking part in the tournament.

Bogiva added the side has been boosted with the return of Lepani Botia at training while Leo Naikasau is still resting after suffering an injury during the NZ 7s last week.

Other former national 7s players that will feature for Wardens include, Waisea Nacuqu, Sakiusa Nadruku, Niko Verekauta and Peni Rokodiva.

The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held on the 7th and 8th of next month.

The 64 teams will battle it out for the $10,000 prize money.
