The Wardens 7s side and the Tokatoka Westfield Babas are the first two teams to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Coastal Great Eight 7s after winning both their pool games earlier today.

With a game left for both teams, securing a quarterfinal berth also guarantees them a place at the upcoming Coral Coast 7s later this month.

2011 Coral Coast champions Wardens laced with national 7s reps Sakiusa Nadruku and Leone Naikasau defeated Jone Vota’s Tabadamu side 19-7 then later beat Conua East 26-14 in their second pool match.

The Pio Tuwai led Westfield Babas stamped their mark as one of the favorites for the title after recording impressive wins over Guard force 40-7 in their first pool match then went on to beat Dritabua 22-7.
