The Waratahs will treat Friday night’s Super Rugby match against the Force as if it is a final.

Waratahs centre Tom Carter said that after losing four of their first six matches, they cannot afford another defeat if they wanted to win the Australian conference and advance to the six-team finals in July-August.

Although Wycliff Palu, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Dean Mumm did not train yesterday, all are expected to be selected today for this week’s match.

The Waratahs may take a 23rd man to Perth to cover Ashley-Cooper, who has a minor hip complaint.

The Waratahs play Force at 11.10pm this Friday. Meanwhile, at 7.35pm Blues will take on Sharks.
