Bernard Foley kicked a penalty in extra time to earn the Waratahs a 30-27 victory over the Blues last night.

The Waratahs were trailing 10-24 at half time but scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to take the lead.

A Blues penalty in the 70th minute leveled the scores and the match looked to be headed for a draw.

Both teams scored three converted tries each and the difference came down to the extra time Foley penalty in front of the 16,429 strong crowd.

In other matches, the Reds beat the Bulls 23-18, Cheetahs defeated Force 19-10, Sharks beat Rebels 65-7 while the Crusaders thrashed the Kings 55-20.

Looking at the points table, the Brumbies is still leading with 23 points, the Chiefs at second place with 21 points while the Sharks is at third spot with 17 points.
