The Waratahs secured back to back victories for the first time since the second round when they beat the Lions 41-13 with a bonus point victory last night.
The result moved the Waratahs from eighth place up to fourth overall and second in the Australian conference.
After round 14, the Sharks still lead the overall points table with 40 points followed by the Chiefs and the Brumbies with 35 points each.
The Highlanders after their win over the Hurricanes is in fifth place with 34 points while the Crusaders is in sixth place with 32.
This Friday, the Blues takes on the Sharks at 7.35pm while the Rebels play the Waratahs at 9.40pm.
