The Waratahs secured their status as Australian Conference winners after their bonus‑point 39‑8 victory over the Brumbies.

The result makes the Waratahs the Australian Super Rugby conference winners as no side can catch them in the standings.

The Waratahs also top the overall standings with 48 points with the Sharks in second place with 45 points.

The Crusaders lie in third place with 42 points followed by the Highlanders, Hurricanes and Brumbies.

The Force who lie in 7th place and the Blues who are 8th are still in contention for the play offs.

Defending Super Rugby champions the Chiefs who are in 9th place are still mathematically in the hunt.

The Chiefs meet the Hurricanes at 7.35pm Friday.

On Saturday, the Lions play the Rebels at 5.10am, the Crusaders take on the Blues at 7.35pm while the Reds play the Force at 9.40pm. On Sunday, the Stormers play the Bulls at 3.05am, the Sharks play the Cheetahs at 5.05am while the Waratahs play the Highlanders at 6.05pm
