This will be Matila Waqanidrola’s final stand at a Netball World Cup and the Veteran Defender is more than determined to make it a memorable one.
The 33-year-old will officially play in her 4th World Netball Championship when the Fiji Pearls take on Wales in Sydney tomorrow.
Waqanidrola who captained the Fiji Pearls to the 2011 Netball World Cup says they have a good group of young players who have stepped up to the level which the Fiji Pearls have been in over the last few years
She first represented Fiji in 2001 and has played over 70 tests for the Fiji Pearls.
The Fiji Pearls will play Wales at 11.05am tomorrow.
Fiji will then face Uganda at 1.20pm Saturday before taking on Zambia at 5.20pm Sunday.
