As the good news about the Fiji Rugby Union signing a sponsorship deal has been confirmed, FRU Chairman Filimoni Waqabaca has revealed why they didn't appoint a CEO earlier.
Waqabaca says the CEO was confirmed early this year but the applicant wanted more money.
The FRU's CEO post has been vacant since December last year after Manasa Baravilala was removed by the Board.
Meanwhile, Board member Dr Berlin Kafoa is acting in the position.
