The man who led Fiji to the historic win at the Gold Coast 7's tournament last season will be standing against us this time around.
Former Fiji 7's Assistant Coach, Etuate Waqa will be guiding the Tonga 7's team who are in the same Pool with Fiji for the first leg of the IRB 7's series.
Waqa turned on the magic last year in Australia getting the win over New Zealand in the Cup final which was his first outing in the coaching panel.
When asked how he feels standing on a different side this time around, Waqa said Tonga is fortunate to have Fiji in its Pool.
The final 12 member Fiji team is expected to be announced this Wednesday.
The Gold Coast 7's kicks off next Saturday with Fiji playing Scotland at 2.42pm in its first pool match.
Fiji will play Tonga at 5.58pm and will then play Australia at 9.46pm.
