Digicel Fiji Sevens team assistant coach Etuate Waqa will be with the team at the Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

It was said that only head coach Alifereti Dere and manager Semi Rogoyawa will take the team to the Hong Kong and Japan leg of the IRB Sevens series.

Waqa will leave for Hong Kong on Thursday and will be with the team just in time before their first pool match.

Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji Sevens team left with high hopes for Hong Kong this morning as they try to claim the title which they last won in 2009.

The Setefano Cakau captained side is hoping to restore lost pride this weekend after falling short in the last few tournaments.

Fiji’s playmaker Metuisela Talebula will be playing at So Kon Po for the first time and he believes he has got what it takes to deliver.

The 20-year-old led Lelean Memorial School to two Deans titles in 2009 and 2010, and ignored three lucrative contracts this year as he wanted to don the national jumper.

Talebula said he was inspired by a former national rep to be the best.
