Vodafone Fiji Bati’s hopeful and Melbourne Storm winger Sisa Waqa may not be featuring in the Rugby League World Cup next month.

Waqa was hospitalized last night after landing heavily on his head and neck following a challenge by South Sydney Rabbitohs winger Dylan Farrell.

With a big concern on Waqa’s injury, Fiji National Rugby League General Manager Tomi Finau said that they will wait for the doctor’s report before making any further decision.

The Storm’s premiership defense is hanging by a thread after their 20-10 qualifying final loss to the Rabbitohs last night.

Waqa was later taken off the field on a Medicab while Farrell was put on report for placing Waqa in a dangerous position.

The Melbourne Storm has three more games and will now face the winner of Sunday’s Bulldogs and Newcastle Knights match.

In the other quarterfinals, Cronulla Sharks will have the services of former Fiji Bati player Jason Bukuya and will meet the Queensland Cowboys who has the Sims brothers, Ashton and Tariq, at 2.30pm today.

Sonny Bill Williams’ Sydney Roosters face the Manly Sea Eagles at 7pm tonight while Ben Barba’s Canterbury Bulldogs meet Akuila Uate and Kevin Naiqama’s Newcastle Knights at 6pm tomorrow.
