A 24 year old unemployed Caubati man was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment by Magistrate Aruna Prasad for stealing a wallet from a tourist.
The court heard the tourist was standing at Thomson Street last month when Sikeli Navia came from behind and snatched his wallet which had $500 cash and a bank card.
Two Police officers on duty saw the man and gave chase where he was arrested and charged.
