Wallaby halfback Nick Phipps believes Fiji has invested a lot in rugby sevens and we have a chance of winning the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.

Phipps is the latest international rugby player who has shown interest in representing Australia in the abbreviated code in Brazil.

Phipps said there is so much talk about sevens especially in Australia and he would love to do it but he hopes the Australian Rugby Union will make everything clear for the fifteens players as well.

Phipps added sevens rugby is still his favourite form of the game and he loves it.

Stars like Sonny Bill Williams of New Zealand and Israel Folau of Australia also want to feature in the Olympics.
