The Wallabies were not able to hide from their first half failings in the weekend Test loss to South Africa with the side remaining on the field for the halftime break.

Like teams of old, the Australians grabbed some chairs and formed a semicircle for the first half discussion watched by the 46,000 strong crowd.

Coach Ewan McKenzie said he felt his team in recent Rugby Championship games have been slow to start in the second half and he thought staying out among the passionate Springbok fans might help them stay in the game.

McKenzie added they will do the same in Saturday's game at the Rosario ground in Argentina.

The Wallabies face Argentina at 10:40am while the Springboks meet the All Blacks in the Rugby Championship decider at 3am this Sunday.
