Leading Wallabies players yesterday ramped up their campaign to convince the New Zealand public that if any team is under pressure it’s the All Blacks, not Australia, in the lead-up to Sunday night’s World Cup semifinal.

During a madcap press conference, Rocky Elsom played mind games with the international press while Quade Cooper was at his relaxed best attitude.

Elsom and Cooper, accompanied by captain James Horwill, David Pocock and James O’Connor, were surprised by the large media gathering, and were in hysterics at times during the conference.

The players soon got into the swing, adding some cheeky lines.

Some of the best came from Elsom saying the All Blacks are the No 1-ranked team in the world, and are in a country where they are expected to win the World Cup.

So regardless of what happens, the public expect that.

Adding there’s a feeling around town that they won’t tolerate anything less.

The first semifinal at 8pm Saturday will see France meet Wales and at 8pm Sunday the All Blacks meet the Wallabies and the live commentary of both matches can be heard on our sister station, Viti FM with Malakai Veisamasama and Ilivasi Tabua.
