Stephen Moore has insisted that the Wallabies have placed last week's shock defeat to Samoa behind them ahead of the upcoming Tri Nations.

The Brumbies hooker, who is one of eight players to keep his starting spot following losing in Sydney, believes confidence remains high.

Australia head into the Tri-Nations having not won the competition since 2001 yet the 28-year-old reckons they are close to breaking their bad run.

Moore believes that these days in Test rugby the breakdown is so important and if they can fix that up it will help the rest of their game.

The Wallabies host the Springboks on Saturday at 10.05pm.
